Corpus Christi, Texas among the 10 most affordable coastal cities for home buying

If one of your dreams is to own a property by the sea, whether for your permanent residence or as a vacation spot, one of the best options currently in the turbulent real estate market of the United States is the city of Corpus Christi in the state of Texas, a city recognized as one of the 10 most affordable coastal cities in 2024.

Corpus Christi is a city located approximately two hours from San Antonio that today offers excellent opportunities to purchase a beachfront home, with prices up to $450,000 or less, and with some foreclosure options available for much lower prices.

The list of available homes that includes the city of Corpus Christi was created by analyzing the average listing prices of single-family homes and condos in coastal cities and towns across the United States. Only cities and towns with at least 25 active listings for the last month and those cities with a sandy ocean beach and public access within their limits were considered.

In this ranking of the 10 most affordable coastal cities for home buying, Corpus Christi secured the sixth place with a median sale price of $315,000, which includes areas like Padre Island and Mustang Island. The city stood out in the ranking due to its variety of affordable housing, such as beachfront condos and smaller homes a short drive from the coast.

Corpus Christi is not just a seaside location without other family attractions, as in this beautiful and sunny city you can find various activities to enjoy, including the Texas State Aquarium and the South Texas Botanical Gardens & Nature Center.

Other notable cities that are part of this list were Pascagoula in the state of Mississippi, and Atlantic City in the state of New Jersey. No other city in Texas appeared in the ranking.
