There are at least seven hundred military families that have been affected by the recent housing crisis. Surprisingly enough, these military service men paid their mortgage payments on time. They are due to receive money from a settlement that is coming up.

Cook County is a struggling county in the state of Illinois. Many of its residents are struggling from foreclosure. However, there are ways for these people to get back on their feet through a new land bank and community services.
