Even though the economy has seen better days, there are still plenty of places in the United States where one can find a job. However, there are still plenty of places where people struggle daily to make ends meet. The place where you live in may be a prominent factor in how much you make on a weekly or monthly basis.

According to data from the Bureau of Labor statistics and information from JuJu.com, below are the top ten best cities to find a job in here in the United States. The reason why they have this advantage? Low employment rates, plenty of job openings and job seekers, low living costs and reasonably priced rents all contribute to the reasons that these cities have fared well in this financial crisis.

1 – Washington D.C. is the easiest city to find a job in as it is our nation’s capital. Anyone seeking a job should look to find employment in the many consulting firms, nonprofit organizations, government contractors and government agencies that are based in this city. It has a six percent unemployment rate, three points lower than the national average.

2 – Salt Lake City is another great city in which to find a job in. Intermountain Health employs many people as well as the University of Utah, the state itself and the city’s airport.

3 – Business is definitely looking favorable for those within the Boston area. This old city is home to many Fortune 500 companies. The education and healthcare sectors also employ many people as well.

4 – Oklahoma hires thousands of people to work in government – it is the city’s biggest hirer. Telecommunications is another large industry within the state. A & T and Dobson Communications hire many people as well.

5 – The Twin Cities’ Metro area has plenty of job opportunities with 18 Fortune 500 companies having their headquarters here. Government, manufacturing and healthcare also employ many people.

6 – Austin, Texas is known for its large number of tech jobs; anyone interested in IT should consider relocating here.

7 – Healthcare and education are Baltimore’s largest employers, particularly John Hopkins University.
